Te Reo Kaakaho

“Ki te kotahi te kaakaho ka whati, ki te kaapuia, e kore e whati.”

Purpose: To grow confident speakers of te reo Maaori and strengthen knowledge of Waikato Tikanga and connection to the iwi.

Te Reo Kaakaho is a series of waananga to advance tribal members’ ability to use te reo Maaori and progress their practice of Waikato tikanga. Te Reo Kaakaho provides our people with a place to speak, to practice and to try new ways of developing their reo.

This programme caters for beginner to intermediate speakers of te reo Maaori. To enrol, you must be registered to one of our 68 Raupatu marae and be 15 years of age or older.

The cost to participate is $20 per waananga.
